If you currently have a domain registered with NetworkSolutions and are looking to cut costs by using RackWire.com’s $9 Domain Registration services here are the steps:

Step 1: Log into Network solutions and click on “Manage Account” in the upper right of the screen.  You then see you have X Domains, Click the “Manage It” Link.

Step 2: On the second screen it lists the domain details, Next to the Domain Protect you will see “Turn Off or Request Authorization Code“.  Click on that link.

Step 3: On the third screen you will select Leave Domain Protect off and check the Request Authorization Code box.

Step 4: Check your e-mail that is in the domain contact info.  You shoudl have gotten an e-mail that says something like:

Your authorization code is: rpsXr44we

The authorization code is case sensitive; please copy and paste it to ensure accuracy.

Step 5: With your new EPP Code go to RackWire.com here to the Transfer a domain section.  Type in the Domain name, and select Transfer.

Step 6: On the next screen you will need to enter the EPP code from the e-mail you recieved from Network Solutions.  After that make payment.

That is it, the transfer can take up to a week to move the domain from one registrar to another.  So don’t delay and start your transfer process at least a month before your domain is about to expire.
